    This device takes a PoPS signal in and produces the protein lacZalpha. When put in a strain that can provide alpha-complementation, you should see measurable beta-galactosidase activity.

    Notes

    An additional T was inserted to ensure that the double stop codon is in frame with the rest of the protein.
