Sequences BBa_I744104_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This biobrick is intended to report on the levels of Tetracycline inside a cell. It uses part R0040 (the tet promoter) to drive synthesis of tetR.

Notes

The promoter driving tetR production is crucial to the sensor's sensitivity and range of detection. In this sensor, the tet promoter creates a negative feedback loop, which should keep levels of tetR reasonable even with high copy number plasmids.
