Description

This asr promoter induces transcription at acidic conditions, approximately at a pH of 5.5. It is native to E. coli.

Notes

There was no recorded -10 or -35 sequence. We identified possible -10 sequences and used a position weight matrix to determine the most likely -10 sequence. Then we determined the -35 position by counting to the left 25 nucleotides. We cut the promoter to 56 bases that contained both consensus sequences. We inputed that sequence into the Oligator which added on the sticky ends according to the Golden Gate Assembly method.
