This is the coding sequence for the SSn8 gene in yeast. Ssn8 is involved in phosphorylation of the RNA polymerase C-terminal. It is involved in glucose repression as well as telomere maintenance. In our project Ssn8 is used as a "modifier" to enhance silencing.
