Sequences BBa_K1148013_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part should allow resvertrol biosynthesis by the coupling of p-coumaric acid to CoA by the 4CL enzyme. Subsequently, coumaroyl-Co1 is converted into resveratrol by STS thanks to sequential addition of three malonyl-CoA units with the release of carbon dioxide.
It is under the control of BBa_R0011 a lactose inducible promoter.

Notes

Starting from eucaryote DNA was a challenge to get a sequence without introns.

Source

The promoter was taken from the registry. 4CL and STS were amplified from grape cDNA.
