Description

This is the Survivin promoter ligated to GFP. The pSurvivin promoter is up regulated in cancerous cells, and hence serves as a cancer activated promoter. This part is used for the reporting of pSurvivin activation in cancerous cells, so that if the promoter is activated, GFP fluorescence occurs.

Notes

We designed pSurvivin so that future teams could use it as a promoter that is activated in cancerous cells.

Source

The pSurvivin promoter was cloned from HeLa cells. GFP came from the E0840 part from the 2013 Spring Distribution Kit.
