    Description

    This sequence encodes for the colicin activity protein of the Colicin E2 operon. This activity protein acts as a DNase, and recognizes BtuB receptors on cells (Cole et. al, 1985). This gene contains a promoter and ribosome binding site for the Colicin E2 immunity gene (ceiB), which is used naturally.

    Notes

    Contains an intrinsic promoter and ribosome binding site which may activate genes downstream.
