    Description

    This BioBrick contains a tetracyclin-inducable LacI generator, which is followed by a constitutive TetR expression cassette. Since E. coli does not produce TetR, the expression cassette has to be present on the plasmid; otherwise the tet-controlled promotor will be constitutively active.

    Notes

    We decided to put the constitutive expression cassette behind the inducible LacI generator to minimze readthrough from the constitutive expression.
