Description
The MutD gene cloned into the IPTG-GFP plasmid for characterization. It is unmutated and still requires the MutD51 (L73W) mutation to become functional in its mutagenic dominant negative form. MutD (dnaQ) gene product controls the editing capacity of pol III (a proofreading DNA exonuclease) and mutD5 mutation leads to a reduction in mismatch repair.Notes
