Description

This circui encodes a branched-chain amino acid transaminase derived from the THI3 gene from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. THI3 catalyzes the second step in isoamyl alcohol biosynthesis: conversion of α-ketoisocaproate to 3-methylbutanal via enzymatic reaction.

Notes

To fit igem part standard, the circuit is constructed in backbone pSB1C3, chloramphenicol with EcoR1 and Xba1 in front of the part, and Spe1, Pst1 behind the part.
