Sequences BBa_K1702003_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This plasmid encodes for an extracellular lipase which breaks down triacylglycerols (TAGs), diacylglycerols (DAGs), and monoacylglycerols (MAGs) into free fatty acids and glycerol. L1 comes from Bacillus stearothermophilus, a thermophilic bacteria. Expression of this gene is under control of the lac promoter BBa_J04500, which is inducible with lactose or IPTG.

Notes

Expression of this gene is inducible with lactose or IPTG.
