Description

adhB is the alcohol dehydrogenase B gene from Zymomonas mobilis. It catalyzes the formation of ethanol from acetaldehyde. In combination with pyruvate decarboxylase (pdc), it can be used to insert a pathway to produce ethanol from pyruvate.
This part is flanked by BbsI cut sites for use in MoClo (modular cloning) assembly. The fusion sites left after cutting with BbsI are AATG (before the coding sequence) and AGGT (after).

Notes

None.
