Description

The Chimera Trg-EnvZ is a two component system that constitutes a chimeric protein composed of the extracellular and transmembrane domains of chemoreceptor Trg and the cytosolic kinase domain of osmosensor EnvZ . Trg is activated by periplasmic binding proteins, and transduces the message to EnvZ to phosphorylate OmpR, a transcription factor which binds to the OmpC promoter driving transcription of whatever gene that is downstream.

Notes

Some restriction sites were removed without altering the open reading frame.
