Description

Same as part BBa-K1848001 except possessing upstream signal peptide PelB. This signal peptide shuttle's the target protein into the extracellular space via the type II secretion pathway. This signal peptide is E. coli specific and might not work well within other species of gram negative bacteria.

Notes

As with other signal peptide constructs, internal protein concentration far exceeds secreted amount. As such, supernatant concentration is required before screening of protein presence.
