Description
This BioBrick produced mCherry fluorescent protein (J06504) under the control of the λcI promoter. When the cell metabolises an inducer for the arabinose promoter (arabinose or an analogue), then the λcI repressor protein (C0051) will be produced. This will halt the production of mCherry.This system is sensitive to the cellular production of λcI repressor protein. Use with caution in cell strains with arabinose-related sensitivity or insensitivity.
