Description

This is a device that should confer protection to an E.Coli population against T3 and T7 bacteriophage infection.
The system starts detecting RNApol of T3 or T7 by specific promoters. Transcription of toxins and production of AHL starts with the aim of kill the cell before more phages production.
The surrounding cells receive the quorum molecule (AHL), binding with luxR result in activation of plux->transcription of RFP, just as a reporter. Also you start transcription of an antisense against T3 and T7 replication machinery. The last part has the intention to cause a delay in the production cycle of those phages so the device increase its efficiency
