Sequences BBa_K393000_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part contains a ribosome binding site the phsABC gene from Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium and a transcription terminator. The phsABC gene is a thiosulfate reductase that causes production of hydrogen sulfide gas. Bang et al. (AEM 2000) expressed this gene in E. coli to precipitate Cadmium.

Notes

PCR amplified off the pSB74 plasmid to make it RFC[10] compatible.
