Description

LuxI is an enzyme for creating acyl-homoserine lactones from normal cell metabolites. All LuxI proteins direct the synthesis of specific acyl-HSLs and show sequence similarity.

Notes

We had to design the primers to have the correct BioBrick enzymes so that we could ligate in new promoters.

We used primers CCA.TCTAGA.AGCACTACTAGAGAAAGAGGAGAAATA, and GCCTTTGAGTGAGCTGATACC to PCR out the part from BBa_J23039 from Berkeley 2006.
