Description

This part consists of the gene pvdQ isolated from Pseudomonas areuginosa. pvdQ is an acylase that is capable of degrading long-chain acyl homoserine lactone (AHL) molecules with 6 to 12 carbons.

Notes

The pvdQ gene consists of a EcoRI-like site. This means that although the exact EcoRI sequence is not present , the EcoRI restriction enzyme is still capable of cutting pvdQ once. Thereby, a short digestion time is needed to lessen this star activity.
