Sequences BBa_M36153_sequence (Version 1)

Description

The NifRLA promoter is nitrogen sensitive and induces the transcription factor NifA. NifA activates the rest of the nif genes, including nifHLK, another promoter. In our sensor, nifHLK will promote the production of our reporter.

Notes

Designing this sequence required us to estimate the locations of these promoters due to their locations relative to other parts in the nif cluster. This may not be entirely accurate or may include extraneous sequences.

Source

The sequences of this part come from the genome of Azotobacter vinelandii, specifically the nif cluster.
