Sequences BBa_M36414_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This sensor will detect the lead in the form of Pb (II) within the cell environment. The promoter is constitutive, and it promotes the MTF-1 DNA sequence which acts as a transcription factor for the following promoter. Ideally, this sensor is coupled with an actuator or signal output device to detect lead in the cellular environment.

Notes

We made sure that the following promoter bound to the transcription factor we chose.

Source

The promoter, RBS, and terminator regions are all standard parts of the E. coli genome. The MTF-1 and following promoter regions come from the mouse genome. The sequence was back translated from the amino acid sequence to avoid introns.
