Sequences BBa_K539281_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part contains crtZ, which works as the zeaxanthin biosynthesis pathway when add beta-carotene as a substrate. crtZ is regulated by cI and cI regulated promoter. The promoter has two DNA binding sites for lambda cI repressor BBa_C0051. cI binding results in repression of transcription.

Notes

This operon is under a heat sensitive cI QPI with a high promoter preceding the repressor (BBa_J23114).

Source

crtZ coding sequences come from Pantoea ananatis (formerly Erwinia uredovora) (Accession number D90087)
