Sequences BBa_I2040_sequence (Version 1)

Description

lacI expression is controlled by the engineered, tet repressible promoter, R0040 and a medium strength RBS. A T7 transcription terminator is used downstream which is not effective for E. coli RNAP. This terminator is being used simply because the B0032.C0013.B0016 protein generator will be used in several other constructs relating to VM2.0

Notes

I'm using a T7 terminator here rather than an E. coli terminator. This is something of an accident but mainly because I want to use and understand the protein generator.
